Photography has always been part of my life, primarily to record holidays and family events.
As a child I remember my Dad taking over the bathroom to use as a darkroom.
I got my own first camera about the age of 11 and it survives to this day with its robust, custom-made leather and aluminium case made by my "fix anything" Dad.
When I moved to New Zealand in 1989, inspired by the amazing scenery, I bought a Pentax SLR which served me well for many years, including 6 months travelling through parts of Asia.
In 2018 I enrolled in a Diploma of Photography at the Southern Institute of Technology which has encouraged me to try other photographic techniques and genres.
For this portfolio, the culmination of that course, I have indulged my interest in nature and landscape photography.
